boco is a family-run company founded by Louise and Oskar Fröjdén in Stockholm, Sweden.
“As a woman, you usually have a small bag and you want to fit your hairbrush, powder, lip gloss, and so many other things in it, but personally, I can never fit the brush!”
This irritation sent Louise on what turned out to be a wild goose chase. “There were smaller brushes on the market, but all of them were made of cheap materials and broke so easily,” she explains.
Louise soon realised she wasn’t alone in her pursuit of the perfect pint-sized product. “Whenever I’d meet friends, I usually had a brush in my bag, just to smooth out my hair,” she says. “But nine times out of ten, my friends would also ask, ‘Oh, can I please borrow your brush?’”
With the need confirmed, Louise saw only one solution: to create her own. Something durable, sturdy, and (most importantly) small enough to pop in a bag.

So the husband and wife duo decided to create what they themselves had been searching for. What followed was a year of prototypes, design refinements, and close collaboration with French artisans whose craftsmanship has been passed down through generations.

The result was boco atelier’s hero collection - the Signature Collection - inspired by Paris. Compact, durable, and made for life on the move. At 14.5 cm, this brush is designed to be slipped into a small bag, held onto for years, and carried from quiet mornings at home to fast-paced days in the city.
Each edition introduces a new colour inspired by destinations around the world, reflecting the places that have shaped the founders' journey.
